Factory dash lamps were #194 (2 C.P , Wedge type base) these lamps also used for the side marker lamps.

I prefer the #168 ( same type as 194 but is 3C.P) so is a brighter lamp.... no problem for dash lamps being brighter as the brightness can be controlled with the light switch. The brightness is there if you need it !....... I also replaced the #194's used in side marker lamps with the 168# an improvement, I would say...... Have diagramsn for the dash panel circuit board , if I can be of further help.........../Jim
