WTB gas tank cover for bucket seats

im not 100% sure what this part is supposed to look like but ive heard for originally equipped bucket seat trucks there is some kind of shield that covers the sending unit between the seats.

is there anyone with pictures of what this is supposed to look like, or anyone have one for sale?

Re: WTB gas tank cover for bucket seats

The cover(shield) you mention is only for 67/68 bench buddy seats. It protects the sending unit from the buddy seat back when being used as a seat. The 69-71 style console does not tilt back that far and is not meant to have weight applied to it.

Wes had the 67/68 part repopped. Don't know if he has sold out on this part or the price. PM him to find out.

Hope this helps - Bob

I just had the upholstery shop make a panel that matched the door panels.

That is nice!

Forgot, my '69 has factory buckets & only has a full cardboard cover with carpet over it.
