Painted my valve covers and aircleaner anodized

picked up a can of anodized spray paint because I wanted to try it. sanded with 320 grit, cleaned and sprayed. only got one can, so its kinda thin but it looks pretty good. Will have them back on in a few hours to see how they look in the engine bay, and how they hold up to heat

It's a different look, but hey it looks great! What other color are you going to put into the engine bay?? And what color for the rest of the truck?

Did you use their ground coat first?. Looks nice, I have it on my radiator supports and getting ready to do my alternator bracket.

Re: Painted my valve covers and aircleaner anodized

It has been said the adhesion promoter should be used first and then for some "really cool looks" with this paint is to "clear" coat it after. Reading on another board.

Re: Painted my valve covers and aircleaner anodized

1LoC10 those tails came out good.

would the clear coat hold up to valve cover temperatures? before I did that, I would probly spray a few more coats on there.
