Unhappy Clutch linkage? with Hedmans

I just installed my new motor in my 1970 blazer 4x4. I bought a set of Hedman headers and when I went to put on the clutch linkage it won't go on because the header is in the way. Has anyone else used Hedmans, if so, same problem or has someone found a fix. Please help.

Hedman Headers

Anyone else have problems with Hedman headers? Has anyone else had good luck with a specific header on their Blazer?

when i bought my headers(dynomax cerama-coat) there was no guarantee theyd work with a manual truck. i had to cut of the lower part of the z-bar and weld it a couple inches closer to the driver side i think.

I have a '68 with a 350 and a m20 muncie and am running a pair of headmans. Didnt have a problem at all with them. They are really really close to the clutch adjustment rod but still works. Mine is a 2wd not sure if that matters though.

I've got Hedman's on my Chevelle. Got the wrong ones first (for AT) They had different ones for the 4 speed. You might want to check with them again.

I ran the Heddmans on my JImmy from 89 to 99. They were the only ones I could find that would work on the clutch linkage with 4x4. Maybe you got a set of 2x4 headers? Either way, I dumped 'em and went to the 2 1/2" 'vette rams horns and couldn't be happier. I had a set of Doug Thorleys I got in a trade and couldn't use because of linkage, then went and bought a set of Eagles at Stupid Shops (Yeah, sure, they'll fit...) took them back and bought the Heddmans. If you want, post a pic of your drivers side header and I'll post a pic of mine, (still in the attic) and we can compare.

Thanks

I will check with my machine shop in the morning. I'm going to bet these are for the auto trans or 2 wheel drive. I have a 2 wheel drive 71 chev parts truck and I took the header out and it would work on it. I hope that is the problem. Thanks for the help, I don't know what I would do without this site.
