what is this?
Connects to alternator and then splices into another wire off firewall and last wire runs towards rear of truck. I am thinking someting to do with the trailer brakes.

Re: what is this?
Help me out. What does an isolator do and what is the purpose? I think they may have used this truck as a capmer of to pull a camper. Thanks

Re: what is this?
That would make sense if they had a camper. Basically, it's a huge diode. It lets power flow only one way. It will allow the battery in the camper to be charged from the vehicle, but will not let the camper battery draw from the vehicle. The camper battery is being charged while the vehicle is running, but when the vehicle is off, the camper cannot draw from the vehicle battery.
Clear as mud???

Re: what is this?
Do you think this is where it went to the camper?

Do you think this is where it tapped into the camper?

Re: what is this?
I would say yes, most likely.
