Question ? factory buckets/ new 60/40 seat?

Well got a question, building the new project orange and gonna redo the gold 69 as a daily driver,I have some nice bucket seats and I have a 1995 60/40 seat, which one should I put in the daily driver and which for the new project orange. I like the idear of the factory look in the interior of the 69 just wondered if the bucket seats are comfortable enough,I know the new seat is!
Sorry if this sounds dumb just want some of my friends advice.
Thanks alot, Donnie

I love the newer style seats. For a daily driver I would definitely take the later models. To me they are soo much more supportive and comfortable than the original seats..both bench and buckets. My .02.

I really like my factory buckets, but if you are going to be putting alot of mile in the 69, and you are 6 foot+ like me, you may want to concider the 95 set. They are comfortable, but not as comfortable as the newer style.

I do agree though, that there is nothing like a clean , stock looking truck.

By the way, I still have the Classic Trucks magazine with your article in it. Let me know if you still want it.

Factory buckets with console look great till you need room for 3 people---then your just plum out of luck. I may change over my daily driver to a late model bench just for that reason. My .02 Huck

I like my buckets and console. I am 6-3 and am pretty comfy. I will say that mine is not a daily driver. never driven it more that 20 miles. but i like the extra storage of the center console. jmo.

I have the buckets and console. They are OK since my wife doesn't ride in the truck too often. The console comes in handy also. My only complaint is that I can't fit enough people in there when it's time to drive to the huntin spot or fishin hole.
Both have advantages and disadvantages. Depends on what the truck is mainly used for.

my $.02

Big O,
You already know that I say go w/ the late model seats in the driver, buckets for the show truck.

The factory buckets look awesome, but the set I had didn't like my 6'9" /260 lbs frame.....in other words they were a PITA after about 10 minutes.

Good luck on the trucks, I'm sure they'll be awesome!!

definitely 60/40

I love my 60/40. Mine's out of a 98..they're waay comfy! I used to drive mine every day until i got the s-10...gas mileage went way up... I think you'd be pleased with the comfort. I would advise you however, to chop the seat frames. all ya gotta do is cut a section out and weld 'em back together...it lowers the seat around 2" and gives ya a little more room..

hope it helps...

Riley

I just got a second-row 'Burb seat out of a '99 today...pick it up tomorrow (parts puller was behind and I'm in no rush) and start cleaning it off...it should be a nice improvement from the original!
