My new project\driver

Well, here is the truck I picked up last thursday. It is a 3/4 ton with a 402 and 400 trans. The body is in excellent condition (needs a little work, but not much), it runs and drives very good as well. I have a question for you big block guy's: I am looking to replace the cam and need some help deciding on which one to go with. I have always been a small block guy and have no idea which duration and lift would be good for a 402, I also would like to use hydralic lifters. I do like a little bit of a "grumpy" idle, but also like the engine to be streetable. Any suggestions? Thank you. Oh, I forgot to tell you the best part about the truck; I picked it up for $600.

That truck is disgustingly clean and original looking. Officially sending my hate from the salt belt.

Just kidding about the hate...sorta. Nice score!

I'm with him... you suck!
That's a sweet lookin work truck there.
I kinda fear what lurks behind that radio patch panel though.
What's all the toggles hooked to? I've alwaysloved toggles... if you remove that toggle panel, keep me in mind!

Looks like it has some kinda shield in the passenger floorboard...you can use that to deflect all the envious stares. Nice score!!!

I don't know how things are up there... but looking at your siggy, I'll assume you are from PA.
You should take a trip to Cali one day. You will want to CRY. They'll scrap a truck becouse it needs rockers.... AND NOTHING ELSE!

I was scared to remove the radio panel as well, I wish I hadn't. Very Very big nasty hole behind it. I will probably have to replace the dash. My father in law loved the toggle panel as well, I do not really care for it, however it is on a pretty cool piece of steel or aluminum. The truck used to have a camper in the back and they controlled stuff in it.
