6 lug disc brake question
I have the front axle from a 69 that has been upgrade to disc brakes. Thought about taking the whole thing and moving it to one of my projects that I plan on keeping 6 lug. Would it be easier to just move the important pieces? If so, what exactly do I take over to the other vehicle?

Re: 6 lug disc brake question
You should be able to just unbolt the whole subframe and then bolt it up to the other truck. What year are you looking to move it to?

Re: 6 lug disc brake question
That was option 1 I was talking about above. Wanting to know the details for option 2. Moving to either a 68 or 69.

Re: 6 lug disc brake question
i used parts from a '72 and moved over to my '67.
spindles, upper a-arms,changed lower ball joints, steering linkage( because i went to p.s.)brake lines & brackets, calipers. i bought 6 lug rotors from e.c.e. knowing what i know now and a person had the right lifting equipment i would say it would be easier to change out the whole crossmember. but the way i did it was not too hard..... |

Re: 6 lug disc brake question
Since the parts are already on a truck, I'd go option 1 if you have the space and the tools to do it. It's like 8 or 10 bolts.
