Help removing trim on 69 GMC

I was trying to remove my grill yesterday and found that when I had all the bolts out I couldn't lift it out due to the trim on the feneders binding it. How do I remove the trim without hurting it?

Re: Help removing trim on 69 GMC

The eyebrow trim pieces have threaded studs clipped to the backside that go into holes in the front edge of the fenders. You have to reach into the backside of the fender corners from the engine compartment and unscrew the nuts holding the trim. I had to use a ratchet with extensions to reach them.

Now I have a question for the more experienced members: Do the eyebrows have 2 or 3 bolts holding them on?? I had one fender with 3 holes and another with only 2. Does that mean that one fender may have been replaced at one time?

Re: Help removing trim on 69 GMC

I need the clips that hold the eyebrows on for my 71 GMC. I can't find these being reproduced anywhere, and all but one of mine were either rusted to pieces or broken...
