So, I'm taking my truck in at 9am to have a new exhaust system put on, and I'm debating the flame thrower options. I don't want one of those kits that "interrupt" the ignition to put raw gas through the engine. Hell, my truck probably runs rich enough as it is if I pull the choke out.

I might have a couple bungs put in for the spark plugs and see if it does anything; if it doesn't, I may opt for trying to rig up a propane system.

Ideas, experience, resources? Much appreciated.

A lot of mods done on custom trucks or cars are illegal in a lot of states. Lift kits, Cat. removal, tailights covers, headlight changes and covers, open exhaust, tinted glass, wide tires, loud radios, etc.

It doesnt seem top stop that stuff from hapenning ?!?!?!!?!

Theres the old trick of getting the truck going down the road, turn the key to the off positive (but not the lock position)for a few seconds, then turn it back to the on position. Be prepared for a new exhaust though as this will usually blow up your muffler.

Most flame thrower guys do it at car cruises or shows, not on the street daily. However, if you want to dig that hole---Go ahead---your money. As for the turn the key off and then back on---it will take the exhaust piping and muffler right off the vehicle, also not the best thing on the engine.

Yeah, not interested in making bangs and breaking things...usually try to avoid that. As for the legality of it, I'm not worried about that. As long as you exercise common sense, you won't get caught.
