WTF is with these things, every 200 miles the things as loose as a red light wh0re. I also couldnt get the damn horn adapter to work and now Im driving with out a horn.......I need some help figuring this crap out, Ima total noobie when it comes to tools bolts and metal.so dont be too afraid to be totally basic. How do I get a horn back in my truck, BTW I did this a year ago and now I cant find the horn under my hood. Maybe I was a little too toked up to realize I took it out, maybe I didnt. WHere is it located......in a 72 C10 SWB? AT LEAST I MADE YALL LAUGHT AT ME!

In my '71 the horn is located between the grill and the front of the radiator

Your horn is mounted on the rear of the core support. My horn don't work either. If I hook it up it kills my battery!

I am not sure what you mean by it being "loose"- I got the classic style wheel and it's worked fine for me the entire time I've had it. Horn works okay most of the time. One time the wire would ground out when I would turn the wheel but other than that it has always worked.

My horns are located just in front of the driver's side inner fender. I have two (they look stock) and they are LOUD!

Take off your offending bolts, and put some locktite on them. They'll never come loose again.

Grant horn kits suck! There, I said it (again), and I mean it! LOL! I would disappoint some people if I didn't take the opportunity cuss such a poor product, hehee!

I've personally never had any problems, but I will say, the horn kit is not complete for a given aplication. I normally have to modify/swap out the horn slip ring piece, and make/scrounge up a wire...
I've had worse luck with the wheel to column adapter kits. Had a couple of them strip out on me, but my wheel has been in 5 or 6 vehicles now though too.

Were in Cali are you located ?? Just wondering. I have had to tighten up my steering wheel once since I put it on.. But that is because I probally didn't tighten it up enough. The horn well mine works but I unpluged it, due to the fact that my son loves to drive me crazy by blowing it when I'm under the hood.. Lots of luck.

I've never had to tighten mine, and I have armstrong steering still! Find it's a bit of a pain in the ass to steer with a tiny wheel, and no PS!! lol

I left the alignment bolts in too, AND the center nut. Needless to say, my horn doesn't work either! I still have a loud exhaust, and my middle finger to get things moving along though!!

if i dont have ps do you recomend not getting a smaller wheel ilke the grant?or should i stick w/stock?

if u dont have power steering ur arms will be much happier to have the stock wheel it will get old real fast in parking lots

I was worried about the same thing with the manual steering- but actually my old wheel was (for me) harder to steer with because it was real slippery and thin. The thick foam Grant helps me get a better grip. Not sure if it will work for you the same way.

Smaller wheel = less mechanical leverage. I've driven one like that and did not like it. Once we installed a bigger wheel, it was OK.

But you get a arm workout with the smaller wheel. Exercising while driving.

I have a Grant wheel in the Studebaker. Been on for 11K+ miles. Never had a problem and the horn works. Put an S10 wheel in my Longhorn and the horn works, too.
