New to me truck

I just bought me a 68 k-20 long bed fleet its a 327 with a 350 auto (was a 4 speed ) I i'd the t-case as a np205. the rear end is a 10 bolt 8 lug full floater. Can someone tell me if this is the stock unit for these trucks? I thought 3/4 tons came with a larger diff's. front is also 10 bolt 8 lug. Here are a couple of pics. I didn't get the front diff. batteries ran out on me. I'm really wondering how strong these are. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: New to me truck

that must have been "bishops trucks" truck... nice ride. That's a 3/4 ton Eaton rear IIRC. The front should have a dana44 8 lug but it could have been changed. How does it drive? I thought about buying it but ran out of money and time.... Send more pics...

Re: New to me truck

Thanks for the info guys .
Yes I did buy it from Bishops trucks .
I just got it plates & insurance today so I've barely drove it. I'll post some pics of the front diff. when I get a chance. Thanks again.

Re: New to me truck

That's a nice k20.It looks like it has a "closed" knuckle front axle which would be a dana 44..the stock axle for that truck.Post a pic of the t-case and we can confirm it as a np205 or not. What's the plans? Planning on going back to a 4spd or staying with the auto? Where in Southern Ill. are you?

Re: New to me truck

Heres a pic of t-case.
I'm going to keep it auto.
I plan on going thru the whole truck.
I live about 20 min. north east of St louis mo.
Engine runs thats about it, rings are shot it, has some serious blow by. A complete rebuild or replacement is needed.

Re: New to me truck

Good looking truck. Thats a 205 case and d44 front I had the same axle set up in my 68 burb but I just changed the front to a d60 I got rid of the sm465 and rockwell transfer case to going to a nv4500 and 205 set up my wife thought the burb was going to blow up all the time from the screaming the rockwell did.
