Flexplate Change on 350/350 combo
Whats going on guys and gals.... I have not been on here in a while cause of school for my helicopters is taking a lot of time away but got a ? for you..... Is there any way i can change out my flexplate on my TH350 with out pulling the engine or tranny? If so how? Thanks in advance!!!!

Yep. Just did on my '56 Chevy T400 without unhooking anything but the TQ convertor. Then LOOSEN all trans bolts and pry the trans and motor apart. Push back the TQ convertor. This will give you room to get at the flexplate bolts. Try it, it worked for me.

Another way is to replace two of the bell housing bolts with longer ones, remove the other 4, and slide the trans back. This gives yo a little more room. Also, you can use a serpentine belt wrench to remove the flywheel bolts. Hope that helps!
