Hey folks, jus thought i would tell you guys im a new member, here are some pics of my truck, they aren't very up to date, ill get them updated as soon as i can. im doin a frame up on a 1970 cst, its not goin to fast, and any help would be appreciated, thanks

plans for the old beast
my plans are to finish up the complete frame up restoration by the end of next summer, im gettin a 350 4 bolt main rebuilt for it, w/ a 350 turbo tranny, and im gonna paint it a darker red color, somethin like candy apple red, what do you guys think?

Paint
painted my '71 GMC GM Apple Red (Code 72) and the center panel GMC Wheat ( can't locate code #). This combo was used on GMC/Chev suburbans..... I did NOT paint the cab with the wheat color....My preference!...... Have pics of this truck posted....
and a hearty welcome to this board....am a new member myself, joined about a week ago !.... many helpful comments and ideas.... You have a great truck with lots of potential....!!!!!

current project 67  402BB stout th350 3.08's with a locker. Plan on tubs 18.5's out back! just to drop you guys a line i thought i would let you know i sandblasted my frame myself to save money, which might i add is bout on my sh!tlist as you get sand everywhere, and i used a selfetching primer on the frame as well, it wasn't very fun sandblasting but in the end i hope all the hard work pays off

Welcome from the palmetto state,your project is lookin good,how much money did you have in the sandblasting and the priming and painting I had my frame sandblasted and then powdercoated and I was wondering how much difference there was in price.

price
the cost of the whole deal was pretty expensive but im sure it wasn't as much as yours, not to put you down, but 10 or 11 bags of sand and 3 somethin a bag and i dont' recall right off hand the price of the paint, im guessin it was 2 to 300 hundred bucks all together if that.
