Me and a buddy checked out that 4x4 at the truck shop a few weeks ago. Someone had sprayed a cheap paint job on it (overspray on handles and other chrome), and when we got to looking underneath it was kind of scary. The body mounts had been welded to the frame, and the welds looked awful. The bumpers were also welded to the frame with the same type of crappy welds. That along with the gas tank behind the rear axles lead us to believe the truck had been placed on a later frame. Whats even more suprising, they were asking $7000 for the dang thing. You couldn't may be to drive it, I'd be afraid the body mounts were going to fall off.

That alone has me afraid the check out the GMC, it appears to be in much nicer shape. When I seen you were from Salina, I was trying to figure out if you owned one of the 7 or 8 67-72 trucks in my neighborhood. But based on the picture you don't. The 68 in my area isn't near as nice as yours.
