Ignition removal with no keys???

Does anyone have a good way of getting an ignition switch out with no keys? Or maybe a good way of bypassing the switch to hot wire it. My new 3/4 ton has no keys and I'm ready to start it. I don't really care if I ever have keys to it, it's just for hauling stuff and going to the dump, but I can't do any of that if I can't start it.

Re: Ignition removal with no keys???

I have a couple extras ignitions with keys if you need one as a temp fix. You could just unplug yours and plug into one of mine. When I didn't know how to get mine out, I turned to a large drill bit!

Re: Ignition removal with no keys???

Actually, now that I think about it, it was an air hammer I drove it out with! I ran out to the shop, and I do have a new matched set (ignition/door locks) that I won't need.
