swb stepside fenders and lwb stepside fenders? a friend of a friend has a "good lwb stepside bed" for 150 bucks.. just wondering if the fenders would interchange.

I believe they're the same, the only difference comes with the steps, being longer in a long bed, fenders from a long bed should fit in a short bed

Only differance is step and long side panel.

and wood &strips of course.

floor in my short step bed is messed up anyways.. thinking about doing some diamond tred plate or etc in it.. i just had some rusted fenders and this bed is alot cheaper then buying replacements

My truck has the rotten wood floor covered by sheets of metal welded in(looks crappy, holes everywhere) and I thought about the diamond plate too. How do you go about putting diamond plate in the bed?

I'm debating ideas on how to do it.. more then likely just going to make spacers come up around all sides to make it all sit even then just lay it in and bolt it down
