Corn your right. I tend to get into the shop zone and forget there is an out side world. I had this thought the other day .... thanks for the push, I needed that. Weather is in the crapper right now but as soon as it stops raining I'll do it.

Re: Fresh Look For My Tailgate!

These are 11-1 high domed pistons for a 283 cu fulie engine. It's allot of piston for a 283. The pistons that Ross made were the same as these. Not everbody gets to see these every day so I thought I would post them.

Just curious, what in the heck is that thing on the Vette's intake manifold? It looks like one of the very first turbo chargers (but I doubt thats what it is).

Diggin' that paint!

Re: Fresh Look For My Tailgate!

And some more .... Linda wants to go picture taking tomorrow. She's really getting into this truck thing! I don't mind, I think it's kinda neat. I always kept this off limits, for the life of me I don't know why as she's been a great help and she likes it as well. (She talks shop now.... WOW)

I'm glad that you asked. This is the first fuel injection that GM put on a production car. It's totally mechanical and was introduced in 1957. The dist. is called a tach drive dual point unit. A cable runs from it to the tach as well another cable on the front side of it to the back of the fuel meter to pressurize the fuel.

Good idea "Corn" .... I'll work on it. Linda's the type to do it if you showed her how.

Thanks for the kind words.

The paint is called SEM Satin Finish and can be purchased at any paint and body shop supply store.
