Steering Column Help

I am getting ready to do a Column Swap. Currently in the the truck is a 3 on the tree manual shift. I have an Automatic Column and was wondering if the secondary shafts are the same or must I swap the Secondary shaft also. I have the secondary shaft for the auto column, I was just hoping to save some labor/time.

My Ride, a 69' Step Side with a 68' front clip. 3 on the tree is original, I'm not sure what year the auto column is.

Thanks,

Harry C.

Re: Steering Column Help

Did you do the swap? Why did you need to do the column swap? My reasons are related to my own 1969 Chevrolet C10 and problems at times in shifting (Column 3) where it hangs up and requires raising the hood and realigning a couple of pieces near the firewall. Do you still have the old column? Advise.
