yeah ive got em on my 67 and love em, i had to cut quite a bit of frame out but the end result is great

I have them also. Didn't have to do any mods. Just bolted them on and lowered the engine. Sure beats the other type......

these look awsome.........how does the chrome wear? i am guessing they see soem heat right? do the blue or discolor?

Was thinking that too, the first time I found them, they were available in black only.......

the ones i got were black, the other choice was chrome but they peaked the budget a little too much and I figured nobody would see them anyway so i went with powdercoated black and they look really good in my opinion.

Probably an ignorant question...what is the benefit of these mounts? Fix clearance issues?

I purchased them all for looks. I have heard that it helps with some clearance issues, just don't know for sure

I have them in my 68.

SBC w/some 3/4 length Camaro headers. Fit seems good & there were no clearance issues. Truck hasn't been on the road yet for any other experiences.

The item description at www.performanceonline.com states, "upgrade your old V-8 mount to the much more common car motor mount pad". What is the difference between the truck and car motor mount pad? Is it something worth upgrading?

I had two reasons for using them on my 67. one is because I had heard from a few people that the stock truck style ones are known for wearing out quickly and judging by the shape mine were in I totally believe them. secondly I swapped over to vortec style exhaust manifolds(got tired of tightening header bolts) and I had a clearance issue with the stock mount.here is a pic they are hard to see but you kind of get the idea.

That oughta fix my pump clearence issue, I had to cut some of the tower away when I installed the bigger GMPP pump on my motor to clear the inlet fitting

I bought these to use in my 68 but I am going to use solid motor mounts for the BBC. First motor mounts I ordered were too tall but second set looks like they will work ( Moroso stuff) just havent had any time to work on it. Guy said they are plenty strong, guess well see.
Kinda tuff looking at the 567 BBC sitting in the floor and knowing it will have to wait.

The same link has them for 129 also, the 199 is for chrome and they come with the motor mounts unlike the brothers link
