OUCH! I payed right around $100.00 dollars for a new shaft.

Hey, Jim, where can you get a complete new drive shaft for $100? I was quoted about $180 for a slip yoke, one u-joint and balance. That's with me bringing in just the shaft...

If I can order new one and have it shipped for, say $30, I'd still be ahead.

In RyanG's case, I believe, he towed the truck in to the shop and they're doing all the labor so that brings up the cost. Also, it's a 2 piece.

I had it done at G L Dunn & Son Drive Line Service in Winchester, Va. They belong to a car club I used to be in. I'm sure they gave me a break but it wasn't a big one.

The problem started with me doing it myself .......That is the only reason I could see that it broke because there is no way that a stock 350 with 260 horse could do that if I had put it back together correctly.
