Update on bowed hood problem... (pics)

Since my last post on this, I decided to do the bracing to see if I could reinforce the center of the hood (the weak spot). Using "prg machine's" suggestion of a 1X1 inch square tubing, I came up with this for my spare hood.

I notched the top part (rear) and cut a "V" on the front part. Squeezed the "V" with the vise so that it would fit under the bracing and then tapped in place. If anyone is interested, I can detail what I did a little more.
