Gas mileage happiness
I just tallied up my mileage on my last tank, most of it highway miles, and I got 16.2mpg. Damn. I was only getting 9 or 10 last year with my TH350. I'm glad I spent that money on the 700R4 last November.
Not bad for a 6,000lb, 34 year old 400 V8 crew cab truck. Now, to stop those annoying water drips in the cab... Last edited by D-Day; 09-09-2007 at 04:16 AM. |

Re: Gas mileage happiness
Yep, I went all over KC this weekend and got an average of 15 MPG with the stroker motor and 3.73 gears--the 700 R4 is a definite savings.

Re: Gas mileage happiness
Hrm, wonder if Travis (the guy I sold my Silverado to) would notice if he all of a sudden lost his 700R4 and gained a TH350??
I generally only get about 9-11mpg out of the '81 and I was getting somewhere around 15-18 out of the Silverado.....
