Need a Quick Answer Stepside Bed

I'm trying to remember the position where the support go under the stepside bed that does not connect to the truck frame. This is a shortbed. I'm about to intall it this evening your help is appreciated.

Been a while since I did my old stepside bed. I think these should help. I believe it is the 2nd part#14 from the rear of the bed is what you are talking about.

I just looked at mine and it goes towards the rear right after the frame bends down.
