Headers Will they work?

I'm putting a new v8 in my 72 chevy c10 and i was wondering if these headers will work with my 4 speed. It's a 307, saginaw 4 speed truck. I'm contiplating between these 2 sets. If anyone has these any info on how they are would be great. Thanks.

Hedman 69092 - Hedman Hedders Headers http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_36226_-1

Hooker 2452 - Hooker Headers Competition Headers http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_16922_-1

Just making sure cause i just ordered a shifter linguage and it won't bolt on to the tranny so i don't feel like making that mistake again. Thanks

Blow into one end and if air comes out the other end, then they work.Sorry, just kiddin`round.I`ve heard the SuperComps work and the Headman Elites.I have the second, but haven`t tryed, yet.Everytime this questionarrises it never seems to bring a definative answer.I figure worst case,I ll move an arm on the bellcrank.Been there/done that.

Re: Headers Will they work?

Call the vendor for confirmation ,but they should work since they don't list a code telling you it may be a problem. They did mention clutch linkage in the Hedman notes.

I prefer Hedmans....they fit better and wear more gracefully.

Re: Headers Will they work?

Assuming that your truck was a V8 from the factory(eng on correct V8 stands), either set of headers will work......I prefer the Hookers for fit & ground clearance on a lowered truck tho.... The Hookers will also fit the sb in I6 spot, but in the Hedman line, you need the 69090 IF you are in I6 spot. best of luck L

Take a look at http://www.sandersonheaders.com/ they have their price but I believe that no other product even comes close in quality, fitment and durability...

Re: Headers Will they work?

K,

I kinda fell in love with the Sanderson QP2100, the cast units. I thought they had a great old school, pseudo sleeper, stock look to them. I really would have liked a black jet-hot coat on them over the silver that I had done. The intake side is 1-7/8' and the exhaust collector side is 3", exhaust flange if i remember is about 1" thick, really beefy stuff. In theory they flow, certainly not holding back my 454, but I would imagine that a block hugger or full length design would flow better. I'm very happy with what I have and get comments of approval all the time, they really are sweet and different pieces.
