factory service manual has all specs pick most any vendor on the list to buy one or cruise ebay for a deal it should be the first thing purchased after gettin a classic vehicle but thats just my old school yhinking

I've always been told you fill it up to the plug, or at least close enough to it where you can touch the fluid. Of course my mother also used to tell me that thunder was when clouds bumped together
 . There's no telling how much other misinformation I have inadvertently passed on to others!

Well a light note to end this post on ..... I was in at the GM Service counter today and decided to ask how much oil is needed to fill a 12 bolt. He was about 35 years old and very polite and said I have no idea but if you give me a minute I'll ask the tech's out in the shop ..... he comes back and say's one of the tech's say's 13 quarts and the other one say's 5 quarts!!!!!!! Yikes I said a 70' 1/2 ton not a tank.
They get over 80.00 dollars an hour .... scary. esll.
