2 questions. Pricing and pricing.

Where is a good place to buy used big block motors. I have to admit im very new to this. Every other project i have worked on was a honda. I have no idea where to go to buy a 396 or a 454. Any recommendations? I want to rebuild the motor, so new crate motors arent really what im looking for.

Also, i currently have a really nice built inline six with 3 speed transmission.. Any prices? Built carb, hei dist and what not. ANy recs?

Re: 2 questions. Pricing and pricing.

I'd say check craigslist for used core/rebuilder BBC stuff. You could also ask around machine shops for stuff people have left without payment. Fle-bay may be an option if it's something you can actually go look at locally (and avoid high $ shipping), there seemed to be a few later model roller cam cores on there recently.
Don't know what the 6 is worth.
