will the front a arms fit on a 67 chevy c-10? i would like to change the whole front end being the a-arms, spindles, brakes, and maybe power steering.

'73 to about '87 A arms, spindles, front cross members will fit on '67 to '72 trucks as well '62 to '66. Look for the heavy duty 1.25" thick rotors. This is the standard aftermarket drop spindle/disk brake foundation. That means that if you want to keep your 6 lugs, all you need is to buy the 6 lug rotor from McGoughys (sp), Early Classic, CCP, or the like.

If you have a good doner, and you engine is out, swapping the entire cross member is fairly easy.

My swap is in the "pile of painted parts" stage and I am keeping the 6 lug wheels 'cause thats the way I roll.

i really appreciate it. i have a whole 82 chevy thats been sitting next to the 67. i thought of it the other day but wasn't sure. I would keep the 6 lug but my 82 has brand new brakes all around. That saves me a good bit of money i can use somewhere else on the truck.

At the very least, you can use the 5 lug front disks for now and later, IF you want to go back to 6 lug, only a rotor change is needed.

Are you going to leave the rear 6 lug or change it to 5 lug?
The rear axel change poses a bit more money and work. Do you have coils springs or leaves? Swapping the whole axel into a coil truck will involve cutting and welding perches, shock mounts, and panhard connections. The axel itself is longer than your 67, but there are solutions to that too.

Obviously the 5 lug rear is doable, since there are so many already done. Just look over the entire project and compare prices. You may even want to go with rear disc brakes just for fun!

Definitely check the FAQ Truck related page. There are tons of answers to problems and some mighty inexpensive solutions too.

i was really more worried about the 5 lug discs in the front. i really didnt pay too much attentiont to the rear. i have the coils in the rear of the 67. do you know how much longer the 82 is compared to the 67?

Whats the chances that a 85 GMC Caballero brake set-up would work on a 66?I have a Caballero that I was goin to build up sitting in my yard waiting to have the engine and trans ripped out.
Just a thought
