Throttle bracket for Edelbrock Performer RPM intake

The one off of my old edelbrock non RPM intake will not work. The RPM intake is higher if that makes sense to you. Anyway. Does anyone know the part # I will need to order from jegs/summit/autozone?
Thanks,
Matt

I had the same problem. I ended up cutting the bracket and welding it to right height. Edelbrock does not make for specifically for the RPM series. My air gap one I think is the same size as the RPM.

Oh, it's the one with vortec heads. So a vortec Edelbrock intake. I also have an Edelbrock 600 cfm carb.

Spectre Performance have a universal bracket that attaches to the left rear stud that holds the car down, it's adjustable too - look into it, can be had at AutoZone, Murray's and possibly Advance Auto, and just may be the thing you need.

Re: Throttle bracket for Edelbrock Performer RPM intake

I made my own, by taking some heavy gauge metal and bending it into a 90 degree angle and then welding a piece on the bottom to hold the tranny TV cable. Those pieces were cut and notched to hold the factory cables (square holes). The mounting was a hole in the flat part of the plate to go over the rear carb stud and then a pin welded onto the bottom of the plate to fitinto the extra hole in the carb foot. That way the plate stays solid and does not rotate around when you push on the gas pedal. I put about 2 hours into eachone I hav ebuilt and then had them powder coated to match all of theother bracket pieces.

Here is a picture of the bracket I modified.

It should fit your non RPM intake perfect.

Gerardo, that's real good fabrication, but from you I wouldn't expect anything else, lol

By the way, I don't have a bracket of that sort on my truck, I have the housing cut short at the firewall, and there's just the bare cable running from there to the carb - works nice and smooth no issues whatsoever. Kickdown cable I do not use, I downshift manually in the rare occasions I decide to waste 3-5 gallons on a 30 seconds run

Re: Throttle bracket for Edelbrock Performer RPM intake

The bracket is available from Edelbrock. I bought mine at www.jegs.com. I just cut and modified the bracket so the upper connection was higher for the throttle. The bottom connection also had to be higher for the TV cable.
Thanks for the compliments!!
