Re: 1947 and up 6 lug GM bolt patterns
basicly all 6 lugs are the same even the Jap junk w/fit it, BUT if you get into the late 80's & up the offset is different. BUT a none disc brake rim won't work on a disc brake set up...joe

Re: 1947 and up 6 lug GM bolt patterns
Most 6 bolt patterns are the same. The only exception I know of is the newer Dodge Dakota's, they are 6 bolt but a smaller pattern.
The bolt pattern is the same on a 47 and an 07, but there are other issues such as backspacing and the centre hole diameter to worry about.

Re: 1947 and up 6 lug GM bolt patterns
We tried to put wheels and tires from a 04 on my bro-in-laws 69 and not only is the center hole a different size the bolt holes were a different spacing not a lot but just enough that it wouldn't work even if we made the center hole bigger. The wheels I have on my 50 started on a 68 then went to an 83 then to my 50.

Re: 1947 and up 6 lug GM bolt patterns
i just put some newer wheels from a gmc truck on my parts truck. the lug spacing is the same. i couldn't get the front ones on though, the hub center on the 55 is 3.5" and the wheels are 3" i am going to either bore the wheel out or turn down the hub.
i would rather turn down the hub, so the truck can fit any late model wheel, but how thick is that hub? will it get too thin if i take 0.25" off?
