65 to 55 gas tank???

I have a 55 all original, but the gas tank is missing. I have a spare 65 tank. Are they the same except for the 6 volt system. My main concern is will it fit? I really don't want the tank in the cab. But, I want to keep it original.

They are different, the 60-66 is taller and thinner.
