crew cab build

im wanting to build a 68 crew cab but i dont have a clue on whats needed.from what i see i looks like a surburban rear half but i was wondering about the frame.mine will be a half ton set up.thanks for any help on this

i would pm rokcrln , he has done this before and could help you . it isnt for the faint of heart........he can get ya started...great guy.....

Thanks for the prop's. I feel the for the best end result is to start with a full burb. You will need a truck cab for the rear section and parts of the doors and floor. You will need to add some to the frame depending on what wheel base you are looking for and oh yah alot of extra time (100+ hours for starters if you work fast) money and parts.

My personal thoughts are unless you just have to have one, have the skill to do it and the time to do it from start to finish I would not start. I have heard from alot of guys that have started the job only to give up after a burb and truck is all cut apart. Here is a build thread of one that I worked one for a customer that might give you some more info.
