Permatex info.
I'm thinking of using Permatex Ultra Copper sealent in place of of a typical header gasket. I've had good luck with Percys life time gaskets. The header manufacturer (Sanderson Headers) say's this stuff is the best.
What are your opinions or experiences? Thanks, esll.

Re: Permatex info.
ive always doubled up copper gaskets and never had a problem... in my experiance, the paper ones< or card board > seems to always blow , when you snap the throttle hard. just my 0.2 hope this helps

Re: Permatex info.
I have a buddy that had a hopped up 90 454 SS. He said the only thing as far as header gaskets/donuts that ever held up was permatex, the high temp orange. He put it on there late one night and let it sit over night and it was good to go ever since......Mikey

Works great. I always use it between the head and the manifold. Only time it leaked on me was when I wiped it off trying to put the manifold on.

Re: Permatex info.
Just toss a set of exhaust manifold gaskets in there & be done. Thats all I ever used with a small block. Even re-used them.
