72 transformations (PICS)
hey guys the wife.... did some scanning today on some old pics of my 72 .. the first one is from the day i baught it..< its the only one i have on it....the other two are right after i redid it in 98 < yes it DID have a late model bed on it for about 6/7 years< story is right after i got finished with it the first time i got hit hard in the right rear.......2 weeks after i just painted it... and being a bed was and is hard to come by we had a 98 bed laying around at the shop so i had to try and make it work......wasnt the prettiest but it worked.....i still got lots of looks and the some time (what did those tail light come out of) i really never had the heart to explain to people that the were stock....anyways i finally got a bed and completely re-did it and shaved all the stake pockets and tailgate, and drove it for about a year just edged and in primer....THEN i got on this web site again, and figured i needed to step it up a notch so now im doing a frame off......thanks guys heres some pics

Re: 72 transformations (PICS)
yeah it worked for the time it was needed... but people get alot of slack for doing the late model bed thing... i had too. it was my only option.....i am glad i found my 70 bed though.... it was a long search.to find a good straight and rust free one. i waited forever to find one in the shape it was in< i didnt want to do alot of work to it.....although i did end up doing just that.......shaving the tailgate, and smoothing everything was alot of work............go figure

Re: 72 transformations (PICS)
Hey there bad6772,
You truck is lookin' good....keep the rebuild updates coming. I have a question: (kinda dumb too) You say your wife scanned some photos of when you first bought your truck. How does one go about that? The reason I ask is my son just bought my wife a printer that has scanning feature for her birthday, but I don't know how to use it. I've been wanting to dig up the few photos I have of my truck from when I first bought it in 1997, and post them.
