Anybody Tried this stuff?
Saw this stuff on "Trucks" the other day. They it protects bare metal from surface rust until you get ready to primer or paint your panel. It can be primered and painted without removing it. Its called Picklex20. Check out their website, www.Picklex20.com

Re: Anybody Tried this stuff?
Yep I saw that same stuff and I have used it in the past on a few projects. One of them is my tube frame buggy that has been in raw steel for about 3-4yrs now and still looks good. I have hints of surface rust but it is in areas that might not have gotten a full coat. This stiff smells bad but works good, wear gloves and splash protection (a head condom ) in a well ventalated area. If you are planning on starting and finishing your work in a short time then don't worrie about using this stuff but if you are like me and small projects take years to finish for what ever reason then go for it.
Kevin LFD Inc. It has been like this for yrs now! |
