Engine Rebuild Kit

So I'm looking at possibly getting a complete engine rebuild kit for a 350 out of a 72. I was just wondering who was the best company to go with for your money.

Re: Engine Rebuild Kit

it pretty much depends on what type of rebuild your going for// first thing i'd do before buying anything is take the engine down to see what is salvageable crank rods block etc// first take the block to have hottanked magnafulxed and measured by the machineist you plan to use// also have the crank checked to see if it can be turned instead of replaced also see if rods can be redone

if you fell behind on your credit payments by replacing a tire you're going to fall WAAAAY behind doind an engine rebuild

Re: Engine Rebuild Kit

I agree that Northern auto parts is the place to get your kit from. I was very pleased with the kit i bought and you can upgrade the parts if you choose and even pick what size of cam you want.

Well I just recently got a raise...like a $1800 a month one that starts on the 1st so I'll be well caught up on them soon...and I wasn't meaning like a right now thing just something for the future whenever I get the funds together and everything straightened out...thanks for the advice though

Re: Engine Rebuild Kit

So even the dead stock engine rebuild kit from Northern is good right? Just asking cause they have the best selection and prices I've seen
