Re: Ebay fraud?

What I did was create a new add with the same picture it hasnt posted to the ebay site yet. I just put in that it was a scam and hopefully no one will get taken this time. I also linked to this thread for people to read.
I havent seen GM post yet.

G. M. I did this before asking you , if you want I will remove the ebay auction, I just would hate to see someone else get taken by a ****bag.

Guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and this got me really pissed!!

I think that he is using actual peoples names and addresses and sets up an email address that looks like it is from them. Every time he sets up a new eBay ID that looks like it is from a different part of the country, when in fact, he most likely never moves. The only real way to trace him is to get someone who can run his ISP address. Even then, if they are good, the can always change providers every time, or run multiple routings to make him hard to trace. We are talking FBI level stuff to track him down.

Re: Ebay fraud?

I have an FBI contact, I wonder if I could get him to do it. I'll ask if he could without getting in trouble.

Oh wow! That's a great looking listing you put up. What did that listing cost with a starting price of $10,000,000.00? If someone actually wins it, don't you have to pay a percentage of the selling price?

Re: Ebay fraud?

Hi all!

Hey Green monster it was only 50.00 i figured I would pull it after he disaappered you dont pay. My friend said I should be careful not to get banned from ebay.

All i did was copy your pictures from his original add and make my own.
I figured if people saw the same truck and the scammer alert and 10.000.000
they might get the hint. I hadnt talked to you either so i didnt want you to see your truck twice. Let me know if you want me to put it back up??

Take care all!!

Message: This item has been posted numerous times on here and the guy
trying to sell it doesn't even posses the truck. People keep bidding on
it and then he clears all bids and starts again. He also changes user
names. I belong to a truck site on the net and here is a link to the
latest thread concerning this vehicle. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=259576
This scam has run on here many times and its hard to tell how much this
person has made doing this. They need to be caught before it damages
ebays reputation and/or more people get ripped off.

A Concerned Ebayer,
Thanks,
71trucks.
