10 years ago today we brought my 69 home i was only about 11 but i remember it well i was so excited i use to pretend it was fixed up and that was drag racing mustangs in it. It was junk it woudlnt even roll to put in on a car hauler, we had to hire a guy with a roll back to come get it. nothing on the truck worked. but my dad insisted it had potential, he had found it on his way to work, we gave 250 dollars for it, it was 1969 stepside CST it had never been fixed up and still had orginal paint, but it was junk, you could throw cats through the bed. It sat at my grandfathers for about 2 years while dad rebuilt the 307 and got it running, we bondo'd the ole body up and sprayed down some bahama blue metallic and some 6 lug 15X10 ralleys. dad rode it to work for about 3 years and the ole 307 went out again. we then installed a 305 out of a 86 trans am. dad rode the ole truck for about 300k miles with the 305 he went through 2 car four speeds 3 3 speeds, and finally a good ole granny gear. along the way he added the disc brakes, power steering and tilt column as well as many other comforts. we also located a good late model step which is what we always planned for the truck. and the last 2years he owned it he invested in all new emblems, a new cowl hood, new fenders, new inner fenders and rad support, new wheels new interior, new trim, etc....after investing about 7-8 grand in parts we redone the truck and rode it for about a year the 305 fianlly went out and after a failed attempt with a 350 with 305 heads (about 1500 miles) he told me he was tired of fooling with it and that i could have my truck now. I jerkced out the ole 350 dropped in a new crate 350 and a new 4 core radiator as the old one was leaking......its been along time and i do not ride nearly as much as he did (i have only put 250 miles on my new motor and its about 4 months old) but Enjoy it alot more. sometimes i just set in it and pretend im crusing up and down the coast lol... my future plans to finish it up are new doors, a 5 speed, and new wheels gas tank rellocation, and paint.. we have replaced everything on this truck but the cab frame and cowl pan,
