oil leak

i have an oil leak on my 350, it seems to be coming from between the head and the block but i didnt know oil went through the block like that. it takes it awile to show up after you start it. i have already ruled out the valve cover and the oil pressure line behind the intake. WHAT IS IT!!??? Please help.

p.s. i have already tightend the head

It might be coming from the back of the intake manifold and running down the backside of the head. Either one of 2 places I can think of... the corner of the manifold itself or one of the back bolts which tend to leak also.

so there is no way for it to be leaking from the head, cause i have already retighted the bolts.

Not necessarily so, you might have over tightened them on accident.

You can get a dye to put in the oil to pinpoint exactly where the oil in coming from. You might have to rent a ultraviolet light with enough intensity to see the dye.

theres an allen head plug partially under the head near where the oilpressure sending line attaches that may have loosened up its doubtfull but still a possibility and would require removing head to check// id go with the intake theory myself

how much pressure is too much on the head bolts, like in ft.lbs?
