brake light

i have a 1982 my brake not working change bulb.an switch stall not working what can it be

Check your fuse for the brake lights. If it's good, use a test light to see if you are getting power to the brake light switch. If that is good, check if you are getting power to the bulb socket. They are common for socket problems (corrosion, loose fitting bulbs, etc.) Pretty basic system so not a whole lot there to go bad... Oh, the other possibility is a bad turn signal switch, even though the turn signals work, the brakes may not. May be an open in the switch or wiring...
