Replacing door locks
Got to replace the door locks on the 86. PO lost the key. It has electric locks, can someone give me some idea of how hard this is going to be? Thanks.

Re: Replacing door locks
I assume you talking about the actual door lock where the key goes. Once you get into the door and gain access to the "clip", just pull it off and the cylinder will come out. Getting the clip back in is harder if you don't have enough room.

Re: Replacing door locks
just take off the door panel and you need a big screwdriver or like one of the GM lug wrench/jack handle things to pop off the clip and then it literally falls out in your hand. you set the new one in making sure it fits into the lock mechanism right and put the clip back in.. that can be the worst.. you wanna wear long sleeves so you have protection from scratching your wrist and forearm while doing this and make sure you put the right doorlock in the door they are left and right and wont interchange
