Question Non AC truck to AC?

Hello, I'm a newbie

I'm switching from Jeep CJs to full size. Is it possible to make a non-A/C truck an A/C truck? Do you or can you cut the dash sheet metal for the vents or is the dash removable/replaceable?

I'm looking for a 4x4 71 or 72 suburban w/AC.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Joe

Re: Non AC truck to AC?

If u want to covert to a factory ac setup, the firewall on that year trucks is different for the 2 setups. U could get an aftermarket ac kit like vintage air that doesnt have to be a certain type of firewall, although taht would take some modefications. And u can pretty much cut the dash wherever u want if u want to....

Re: Non AC truck to AC?

Also Burbs came with front air, rear air or both. So you could put in rear air only and not bother with the dash.

Burbs also came with a dealer installed over head unit that had both front and read air.
