Talking saved from the crusher

I picked up a couple of 67 1/2 tons over the weekend at an auction, a 67 chevy and a 67 gmc. The chevys got a small block and four speed in it and the gmc has a straight 6 three speed. From the looks of the balancer on the chevy it is either a 283 or a 307. I will post pics if I can ever figure out how.

Can't wait to see 'em. If you have the pics on your PC, you can browse to them from the manage attachments on the "go advanced" page. You will have to resize them, I use MS Office Picture manager and compress them.

I got the gmc for 275 and the chevy for 550. I think that I will end up parting out the gmc.

Re: saved from the crusher

Hey, I talked to you at the auction right before you bought the blue 67, that auction was a blast !!! If I didnt have a short box in progress I would have bought another project, Glad you saved them from the crusher!!! I think the 67 is a 283 for sure not a 307 Good luck with your new finds !! Might have to see some of your trucks when I go to forks sometime .

Re: saved from the crusher

Well I thought that the 283 was locked up, I took a battery out to the truck today I should be able to get it running. I will get points and a condensor for it tomorrow and see what happens, I will pick them up for the six cylinder also. I did have one rear wheel that was rusted to the brake drum took quite a while to get that loose, but they should all be done anyway.
