muffler placement?

just a quick Q for you guys.

i'm assuming the placement of the muffler in the exhaust system will effect the sound. i think i heard that somewhere.

but yes. any suggestions?

Right now, i have in mind headers, collectors, reducer, glass pack.
which is 3" - 2.5" coll., then a 2.5-2" reducer, and a 26" glaspack. after that, it's pipe straight, over the rear axle, and out the back. atleast thats the plan.

So, any ideas if this set up is good? or...? i just want my 307 to sound good. not loud, not quiet, but classic. good.

Well mine used to set up right uner the bed. It was a little loud in the cab but sounded awesome.

headers, 3" collectors, 2.5" exaust, mufflers behind the axel, magnaflow.

its pretty quiet when your crusing, but you can tell theres something more then stock under the hood,

but it knocks you back about ten feet when you put more then 1/4 throttle in.

hmm.

so, do you think there'll be some nasty in-cab noise with the 'packs being right up next to the headers, and, well, i suppose under the cab?

26" cherrybomb glasspacks. 2" in/out.

ah .... in that case i would tuck those under the bed next to the frame rails then straight out the back ... should be nice and loud!
