I vote for Putter's. Now if you get the latching mechanisms hidden like the straps... WES

Re: Tailgate Straps???

Now those look cool!!! I want to figure out how to get reid of the hardware on the tailgate and bed for the old hooks. I know that they are needed to keep the bedsides from spreading. WES

Mar-K makes metal straps specifically for the stepside beds. Instructions for installation are on-line http://www.mar-k.com/installation_hints.html . Scroll down to "Tailgate Link Assembly Instructions" for your year.

Re: Tailgate Straps???

Kinda related...what about cable type straps? I have a Blazer, but the factory stays are similar to a fleet side truck. In the Blazer, they are noisy as hell. I've seen hints about cables from a moden truck fitting, but can't find any details - any ideas?
