6 month anniversary!

No, not my girlfriends and mine, but my truck and mine!

it was 6 months ago today that i bought this beauty from mr. Al Luber for $100.

that was then.

this is now.

not much progress, or at least it looks that way. but! she's almost ready for primer and paint! scary, i know.

but yes. i just thought I'd post up and let everyone know that i'm celebrating 6 months of steady relationship between my truck and i.

check out my build thread (in my sig) for the real progress pics. be warned, they're kinda gory. viewer discretion is advised.

let's hear it!

-Sam.

Re: 6 month anniversary!

S/T - it's getting to the point where i pretend to punch a clutch when i'm driving now, and i imagine shifting on the tree with my daily driver. just to see it go from this..well..desecrate worn down old truck, to a semi-presentable work horse, makes me sooo excited.

i almost have it figured out how much money i have to spend on it to get it "finished". and considering i've already spent the MASSIVE sum of $600-$700 dollars, including the truck and materials, well. it's just fun.

Jerry - i try to limit projects. thats a nice way of saying i can't afford more than one. :P after my old girl gets on the road, who knows what could be in store. i just know i won't ever get tired of that truck.

thanks for the kind words all!

let's hear it!

-Sam.

Re: 6 month anniversary!

nice build thread, going pretty fast, good to see that someone didn't part that truck out and you saved it from the crusher

Re: 6 month anniversary!

72army - i thought it was in pretty good shape, considering the other stuff i've worked with. so, parting out or scraping was out of the question. if i hadn;t of bought it, i'm sure it would've just sat next to Mr. Luber's garage and rotted away -more so than it already had.

my mom and dad always say, make do, or do with out. so, here's to making do!

thanks for the kind words, it's the fuel to the flame that keeps me going.
