Check out my new C-10 trailer

Just got this little jewel yesterday afternoon. I was driving down the road, goin home and saw this in a gas station with a for sale sign on it. $200 obo. Got it for $150. The tailgate's in fairly nice shape, and the front bed panel is almost perfect. Has the original C-10 6-lug rear, new shocks, spare tire. It has a new trailer hitch, new dolly wheel "flip-up" landing gear and it looks like it was done up well. Where they bent the original frame and added diamond plate was nicely done.
At first sight, I thought "parts," but after seeing how well it was made....maybe paint it up same color as my truck (my red 64 short wide,) put on the same wheels and tow it behind?
Anybody got any ideas?

Re: Check out my new C-10 trailer

Thats pretty sweet. The wheels look like old school Pathfinder wheels. My vote is to paint it like your 64 and put the same wheels on it. No one else will have that set up!

Re: Check out my new C-10 trailer

paint it to match with like wheels or stock wheels... whatever you are running.

You could even put a top on it, or stake bed sides if you needed to get serious.

That would be snazzy.

It will look sharp behind your truck. Make it a matching set.

Re: Check out my new C-10 trailer

thanks for the feedbacks and coke cooler idea. Guess that's what i'll do. Just wanted to be sure it wasn't a crazy idea, using it as a tow behind.

basically, it's the wife's. I bought it new in 93. 6 speed. Only has 40,000 miles on it. It's a great car. Probably the best overall handling/performance car I've ever driven.

Sounds exactly like what I want, it MUST be a 6 speed and I'd like some sort of a removable top, NOT a convertible though. So thats a regular six speed, not the 4+3 manual tranny I've read about in earlier Vettes? Have you had any issues with it? Just trying to get an idea of what to look out for IF I spot one some day...

It's a true double "H" pattern 6 speed. The only issues I've ever had with it, I've replaced both headlight door motors. That's it though. It's been a great car. I'd highly recomend one to anyone.
