okay guys if you saw the post over in the gd section the motor for my 71 fell and crushed me roommates fingers. it been sitting in the floor for a week now (dont have anyone that can help get it back up) anyway its a 305 bored 30 out never been run its wrapped up in pallet wrap therers no oil in it or anything so will it hurt anything sitting in the floor on its side? i dont think it will just want to make sure

I am not an engine builder but i would assume it would be ok. I would be more worried about if any damage was done to it depending on how hard it hit the floor and where it hit. I would go over the engine with a fine tooth comb looking for cracks in the block etc. It would suck to not check it over before you put it in ad then find out something wasnt right. good luck man.
