been busy, but two new members of the family!!!

Been busy looking for a house for the past two months, but did stumble across a few finds and made a couple investments that I couldnt pass up (even had the wife's permission to do so!!!!)... First one is my new cheyenne super that I picked up at a swap meet last august. Minnesota people may recognize it from the meet, and Im the guy who bought it . It's a tow owner c20 402bb, TH400, Dana 60 super that had been owned by another industrial tech teacher since '76. Has 115K original and after talking and not necessarily looking to buy a truck that day, it went from one shop teacher to another.... The second is a truck I picked up last weekend... Its a 68 c30 dump with looks to be 66K on a 327, SM420, Eaton HO72 dually rear... I had a 91 F-150 that I could not get any one to bite on, so I traded it for this... The jyard I picked it up from had allready sold the doors and the choke delete plate two days before I saw it... so if a board member got them, you are a lucky man!!! (bast*** . I had been looking for a dump for a while wehn we owned our house out in the country and since we are looking rural again, I scooped on it. Best part is I had traded a lawn mower for the F-150, and the F-150 for the c30, and the mower I picked up for free... so in essence I got the c30 for the gas to get it!!! Well on with the pics... OH what do the mirrors look like for the c-30 off the SPID???

NICE!!! I believe those are west coast JR mirrors. Don't have a pic handy, but they attach to the top and bottom of the window frame.
Cheyenne super: you picked this up from... let me guess here... the back corner of the for sale lot at st.cloud. You bought it around 9:30 am and picked it up later... This is just a guess though. Nice truck. Eric

Here is a pic of 67 C-30 when I got it. They were factory Jr West Coast style. I checked my SPID and it says the same thing your '68 does. I've got F*rd stainless steel jr west coast mirrors on my '69 C-30 car hauler. They mount the same way, but just look a little purtier!

Nice 1928 Wayne gas pump in the background of the 1st picture. I'm helping my father-in-law restore his same pump. He has the sheet metal already painted. On my last last trip we took the top off to be blasted and repainted.

Re: been busy, but two new members of the family!!!

Thanks for all the compliments... both were very unplanned purchases, but isnt that when all the fun stuff shows up...

Eric... Yup im the guilty party... Were you standing around when I bought it???... I had known Jerry (the previous owner) through a few professional teahing organizations, AND he had taught many of my relatives in the Rocori district. We started a harmless conversation, and I ended up with a truck... If I woulda kept my mouth shut, my bank account would be a little healthier .

As far as the mirrors go, I have some larger ones that attach via three bolts to the top of the door, three to the base of the window, and one angled support that extends from the bottom support to a spot midway down the door.... so they are not the right ones... Ill try to get pics of them up soon... what kind of F**D are those others off of????
