Thought someone might be interest. They want $1000 for it with no motor,trans or interior... alittle high and rough but a good project.

Looks like a conversion where they actually extended the frame and used a regular 6 foot bed ? I never liked the longbed trucks where they just shortened the bed.

looks like a good deal,,i would be interested if i had the money,,but ivve never seen one before,,was this done by a conversion company, or by somebody in there garage....

There was a company that built these back in the day for an alaskan pipeline company if I remember correctly. Damn I wish I could get my hands on it!

Yep, a conversion company built them, but the ones that I have seen had a long bed that had been shortened. I believe that they were all 2wd as well. I saw one that ha been converted to 4wd. I'd like to have that one myself. Convert it to 4x4, put a 4 inch lift and some 35s on it and it would be killer lookin'! I wonder how good of shape that cab is in though because $1,000 seems kind of cheap for being an extended cab? ...Joe

There was another thread about these trucks a while back I'm thinking at least 6 months ago, maybe more. for some reason I think that truck was in the northwest and it was for sale on Craig's list I'm not positive though.

I saw a black 2wd on the highway by my house on my way home from work one morning earlier this summer. He was headed north and I was headed south so I couldn't get turned around in time to run him down and ask some questions about it. I haven't seen it since, but have been on the lookout for it. Just wish that I knew where it was so that I could get some pics of it and hopefully some info. ...Joe

I think these are sooo cool! There is one right here in Memphis, and he only works right down the street from me. Funny thing is, there are no small windows. It's a solid piece on the sides
